SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Barry Bonds had four singles and a pair of RBI, leading the San Francisco Giants to a 13-2 Cactus League rout of the Oakland Athletics. Tsuyoshi Shinjo went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and Pedro Feliz drove in two runs for the Giants, who scored nine times off Mark Mulder in the sixth inning. Mulder suffered his first loss of the spring, giving up 10 runs -- seven earned -- and 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings. Giants starter Ryan Jensen was effective over 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run and six hits with two walks and two strikeouts. A's right fielder Larry Sutton hit the game's only homer, a solo shot off Manny Aybar in the ninth. |
