PEORIA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Randy Johnson pitched six strong innings and combined with three relievers on a seven-hitter to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 10-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners in the Cactus League. Johnson won for the third time in as many decisions this spring, allowing two runs with four hits and no walks with three strikeouts. Byung-Hyun Kim, Greg Swindell and Jose Parra followed for the Diamondbacks, who improved baseball's best spring record to 18-7. Damian Miller homered and was one of eight Diamondbacks to drive in a run. Ken Cloude was the loser in relief, allowing three runs -- one earned -- and three hits in three innings. Seattle committed three errors. Alex Arias had two hits for Seattle. |
