PEORIA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Jack Cust hit a two-run homer and John Thomson tossed six scoreless innings as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Seattle Mariners, 3-1, in a Cactus League matchup. Todd Helton drove in Colorado's other run and Benny Agbayani had two hits. Thomson allowed just two hits and struck out seven en route to his second spring win. Jose Jimenez surrendered three hits before recording his third save. James Horner drove in the lone run for the Mariners, who were held without an extra-base hit. Seattle starter Joel Pineiro took the loss, allowing three runs and seven hits in six innings. |
