OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Reggie Sanders homered and David Bell doubled twice and drove in three runs as the San Francisco Giants routed their Bay Area rivals, the Oakland Athletics, 11-1. Bell and Benito Santiago had three hits apiece while Sanders, J.T. Snow and Damon Minor had two each. San Francisco had 17 hits in the contest. Russ Ortiz and Chad Zerbe tossed three scoreless innings apiece for San Francisco. Oakland starter Cory Lidle was hit hard, allowing six runs and 11 hits in five innings. Mike Magnante and Jim Mecir also rough outings for the A's. Oakland managed just six hits. |
