SEATTLE (Ticker) -- James Baldwin looked comfortable at Safeco Field.

Baldwin pitched six strong innings in his final spring tuneup and John Olerud and Ruben Sierra hit back-to-back homers to power the Seattle Mariners to a 6-1 exhibition victory over the San Diego Padres.

Signed as a free agent in the offseason, Baldwin gave up one run and six hits with three walks and three strikeouts for his second spring win. Arthur Rhodes, Jeff Nelson and Julio Mateo each tossed a scoreless inning for Seattle.

Olerud and Sierra connected in the second inning off starter Bobby Jones to erase a 1-0 deficit. Sierra also singled, doubled and drove in two runs and Ichiro Suzuki, Jeff Cirillo and Ben Davis chipped in two hits apiece for the Mariners.

Jones went five innings and was pounded for five runs and 11 hits. Ryan Klesko had two hits and an RBI for San Diego.
