Scott Brosius, 3B

One of several veteran players brought to New York during
the offseason to help solidify the infield, Brosius earned
the respect of fans and players alike by capably replacing
Wade Boggs at the hot corner. With solid defense and a
productive bat the
soft-spoken third baseman earned a spot as a reserve on the
1998 American League All-Star squad. 1998 stats: .300, 19 HR, 98
