David Cone, P
|
David Cone has toned down his act since he played with the
New York Mets in the 1980s and has matured into an ace
pitcher and team leader. Since joining the Bombers three
years ago, the veteran righthander has provided stability
and inspiration as well
as wins and strikeouts. In 1996, Cone showed his courage and
determination, rebounding just months after
career-threatening arm surgery to appear in the postseason.
With 20 wins this season, the 35-year-old, four-time All-Star
continues to demonstrate that he's
not done yet.
