"I don't believe what I just saw!" That was the call of legendary radio broadcaster Jack Buck after watching Kirk Gibson -- who was suffering from a severe knee injury -- limp off the bench to win Game 1 of the 1988 World Series for the Dodgers. In heroic fashion, Gibson launched a two-out, two-run homer in bottom of the ninth off Oakland A's reliever Dennis Eckersley to secure the 5-4 victory for L.A. The Dodgers went on to win the Series in five games.
