BALTIMORE (AP) - One day after walking off the mound in a tie game, A.J. Burnett received credit for his 11th win of the season.
Taking over for Burnett in the completion of a suspended game, Toronto's bullpen limited the
to two hits over the final four innings in a 5-1 victory Thursday.
Burnett (11-9) gave up one run and six hits, striking out seven, in five innings Wednesday night. The
then took a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth before rain suspended play.
The game resumed Thursday before the regularly scheduled finale of the four-game series.
With Burnett watching in the dugout,
entered in the sixth and got four straight outs,
retired the only two batters he faced to end the seventh and
finished with two innings of two-hit ball.
''Let's thank the bullpen,'' Burnett said. ''They came out and finished out what I started from the get-go.''
Burnett improved to 5-2 in his past seven starts.

''It was kind of a weird feeling,'' Burnett conceded.
The victory was worth the wait for the
, who had lost seven consecutive road series since taking two of three from Oakland on May 27-29. By winning the suspended
game, Toronto was assured no worse than a split.
When play resumed,

The loss was Guthrie's first in seven starts since June 12. The right-hander was 3-0 in that span.
