PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida (Ticker) -- Doug Davis tossed four innings and Chad Curtis and Andres Galarraga homered to lead the Texas Rangers to a 7-3 win over a split squad of Boston Red Sox. Davis gave up two runs and four hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Pat Mahomes allowed two hits, walked two and struck out four in four scoreless innings of relief. Curtis hit his first home run this spring off starter Tim Wakefield in the first inning. Galarraga hit his third this spring in the second, also off Wakefield. Wakefield went three innings, allowing three runs and three hits with four strikeouts. Bo Porter had three hits and drove in a pair of runs and Ruben Mateo had two hits and scored twice for Texas. Morgan Burkhart and Wilton Veras drove in runs for Boston.
