VERO BEACH, Florida (Ticker) -- Journeyman Alan Zinter hit two of five home runs for the Houston Astros, who pounded Terry Mulholland in a 12-3 Grapefruit League victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Zinter was a late-inning replacement who homered in the seventh off Giovanni Carrara and in the ninth off Paul Quantrill.

Lance Berkman, Daryle Ward and Jose Vizcaino also homered for Houston, which collected 16 hits off six pitchers. Zinter, Ward and Vizcaino each had two hits and drove in three runs each and Berkman had three hits.

Mulholland (0-3) gave up seven runs and nine hits in four-plus innings. Reliever Ricky Bones was not much better, giving up two runs, three hits and a walk in one frame.

Astros starter Shane Reynolds notched his first spring win, allowing one run and four hits in four-plus innings. He walked two and struck out three.

Eric Karros had two hits and an RBI for the Dodgers, who have allowed 24 runs in their last two games.
