WINTER HAVEN, Florida (Ticker) -- Jeff Bagwell homered twice and drove in three runs and Dave Mlicki pitched six strong innings as the Houston Astros posted a 5-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians in a Grapefruit League contest.

Bagwell followed Brad Ausmus' game-tying sacrifice fly in the sixth inning with a solo homer off Cleveland starter Bartolo Colon to give the Astros a 3-2 lead.

He snapped a 3-3 tie in the eighth with a two-run shot off reliever Jeff D'Amico (0-1), who surrendered four hits in the inning.

Mlicki allowed just two runs and five hits while striking out four, but reliever T.J. Mathews (1-0) recorded the victory despite allowing a game-tying double to Ellis Burks in the seventh.

Mike Munro worked around two hits in the ninth inning to earn his first save of the spring.

Tripp Cromer homered in the fifth inning and Morgan Ensberg, Jose Vizcaino and Brian Hunter had two hits apiece for Houston.

Cleveland's John McDonald doubled, singled and scored and Russel Branyan belted his fourth homer of the spring off Mlicki in the fifth inning.

Colon surrendered three runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings. Cleveland closer Bob Wickman struck out two in a perfect ninth.
