VIERA, Florida (Ticker) -- Kevin Brown worked 3 2/3 strong innings and Hiram Bocachica had a two-run triple as the Los Angeles Dodgers posted a 7-3 Grapefruit League victory over the Florida Marlins. Battling back from arm problems that forced him to miss the final two months of last season, Brown gave up an unearned run and four hits. The righthander has allowed four runs and 12 hits in 10 innings in four spring starts.
Mike Kinkade went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for the Dodgers.
Marlins starter A.J. Burnett, trying to tailor his delivery after Brown, surrendered seven runs and six hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out six.
Eric Owens had two hits and scored three runs for Florida.
