FORT MYERS, Florida (Ticker) -- Dustin Hermanson continued to round into form with five solid innings as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Montreal Expos, 7-2, in a Grapefruit League game. Hermanson allowed one run and five hits with two walks and four strikeouts against his former team. After struggling early in spring training, the righthander has given up three runs and 10 hits in 10 innings in his last two starts. Knuckleballer Tim Wakefield got the win after yielding an unearned run and one hit in two innings. Manny Ramirez hit his third spring homer and Rey Sanchez collected two singles and an RBI for the Red Sox. Chris Truby slugged a solo homer and Endy Chavez had two hits for Montreal. Expos starter Tony Armas Jr. was reached for two runs and five hits in four innings with two walks and five strikeouts. |
