SARASOTA, Florida (Ticker) -- Michael Cuddyer homered twice and drove in four runs as the Minnesota Twins won a 12-9 Grapefruit League slugfest against the Cincinnati Reds.

There were 23 hits, including 12 by the Twins, and seven homers, four by the Reds. Minnesota had two five-run innings.

Dustan Mohr's grand slam in the first off Chris Reitsma (0-1) helped Minnesota to a 5-0 lead. Cuddyer homered off Scott Williamson in the fifth and Luis Pineda in a five-run sixth that gave the Twins an 11-3 lead.

Aaron Boone homered twice and drove in three runs and Ken Griffey Jr. and Kelly Stinnett hit their first spring homers for the Reds, who scored three runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.

Twins starter Kyle Lohse (2-0) continued his strong bid for the rotation, giving up three runs and three hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out three.

Reitsma gave up five runs, two hits and three walks in two innings. Williamson allowed five runs in one-plus inning.

Luis Rivas had two hits and scored twice and Corey Koskie had two hits and an RBI for Minnesota.
