ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Kevin Millwood pitched four effective innings and Andruw Jones had two hits and an RBI as the Atlanta Braves posted a 3-2 Grapefruit League victory over the Baltimore Orioles. One of baseball's biggest disappointments last season, Millwood gave up one run and six hits, striking out one without a walk in his final spring outing. Jones and Gary Sheffield each delivered run-scoring singles and B.J. Surhoff bounced into a forceout to drive in another run as the Braves scored three times in the bottom of the first. Jeff Conine had an RBI single and Chris Singleton a sacrifice fly for the Orioles. Orioles starter Jason Johnson gave up three runs and six hits in five innings. |
