LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Brian Jordan celebrated his 35th birthday with a three-run homer and Shawn Green had two RBI to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-4 victory over the Cleveland Indian in an exhibition contest. In his first at-bat at Dodger Stadium since coming over from Atlanta with Odalis Perez in the Gary Sheffield trade, Jordan belted an 0-2 pitch from Chuck Finley with two runners aboard over the left-field fence for a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Perez gave up four runs and nine hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Finley, who tossed six scoreless innings against Cincinnati in his last outing, gave up six runs -- four earned -- and six hits in four innings. Eric Karros had two hits, including a run-scoring double, and Adrian Beltre contributed an RBI single for Los Angeles. Milton Bradley had a pair of run-scoring singles and Ricky Gutierrez had three singles for Cleveland. |
