LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Marquis Grissom homered in a four-run eighth inning to power the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians. All four runs in the eighth came off loser Charles Nagy. Adrian Beltre also homered for the Dodgers, connecting in the fifth off Danys Baez, who allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings. Brady Anderson had three hits and a solo homer for Cleveland, which opens the season on Sunday at Anaheim. Los Angeles starter Andy Ashby worked five innings, yielding his only run on the homer by Anderson. The game attracted 18,112 fans to Dodger stadium. |
