NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Each member of the New York Yankees
entitled to a full share received $307,808.70 for winning the franchise's
25th World Series championship, Major League Baseball announced today.
The Yankees divided a pool of nearly $14.7 million, with 32 full
shares going to uniformed personnel and four full shares to non-uniformed
personnel. Fifty-four partial shares were divided among uniformed and
non-uniformed personnel.
Full shares for members of the National League champion Atlanta Braves were
$203,542.49.
The New York Mets
and Boston Red Sox,
losers in the League Championship Series, had full shares of $109,879.33
and $100,573.14, respectively.
Runners-up in the Division Series -- the Arizona
Diamondbacks, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and
Texas Rangers --
got full shares ranging from $24,990 to $28,106.
The players' pool is comprised of 60 percent of the gate receipts from
the first three games of the Division Series and the first four games of
the LCS and World Series.
