George Brett, Nolan Ryan and Robin Yount are in fast company. Other than the inaugural Hall of Fame election in 1936 --when Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Honus Wagner and Christy Mathewson made the grade-- this is the only time three first-year candidates have been elected at once.
