Yankees' Jeter day-to-day after leaving with muscle strain

"It will probably be a few days," Yankees manager Joe Torre said. "I think we have to wait through the weekend and see how it responds to treatment and then make a decision."
Jeter appeared to injure himself with a leaping, twisting throw to second on a ground ball hit by Vinny Castilla.
"I actually think it happened yesterday when he was doing some hitting drills," Torre said. "That was the first hint we had."
Jeter has been mired in a slump and flied out in his only at-bat to extend his hitless streak to 13 at bats over his last four games.
