TORONTO (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox didn't even need the one hit they got.

The White Sox took advantage of five Toronto errors, scoring two unearned runs without a hit in the seventh inning, to beat the Blue Jays 2-1 on Sunday.

"Anytime you give up five extra outs you end up giving the game away," said Toronto second baseman Homer Bush, who made one of two Toronto errors in the seventh. "This one got away from us. We didn't play fundamental baseball."

Mark Johnson singled with two outs in the third inning for Chicago's only hit as the White Sox won for the sixth time in seven games. They have won the first three games of their four-game series in Toronto.

The Blue Jays, who have lost four straight games, made two errors in the seventh.

After Frank Castillo (2-3) walked Frank Thomas to open the seventh, Magglio Ordonez reached on Bush's error.

"I tried to charge it but I missed it on the short hop," Bush said.

Thomas advanced to third on the play, and scored on Tony Batista's error at third base.

Chris Singleton followed with a bunt, advancing Ordonez to third, and Carlos Lee hit a sacrifice fly to give Chicago a 2-0 lead.

"They gave us a few extra chances and we took advantage of it," Chicago manager Jerry Manuel said.

Cal Eldred (4-2) allowed three hits in 6 2-3 scoreless innings. He struck out seven and walked one, but had to sweat through the ninth inning when the Blue Jays nearly rallied for the win.

Keith Foulke, who had not allowed a run in his previous 18 innings, gave up a solo homer to Carlos Delgado with two outs and a double to Brad Fullmer. Foulke then struck out Batista to earn his seventh save.

Eldred, who allowed just three hits in six scoreless innings in his previous start, has appeared to recover from arm problems that slowed him earlier in his career. After going 6-16 the previous two years in Milwaukee, Eldred already has four wins this season.

"My arm felt good, and that's the number one thing you think about after you've been through what I've been through," Eldred said. "I had a pretty good breaking ball today and we kept going to it."

Castillo allowed one hit in seven innings. He struck out six and walked one.

"I liked the way I threw the ball," Castillo said. "It was just one of those frustrating days."

Notes: Eldred was acquired from Milwaukee on Jan. 12 in exchange for Jaime Navarro, who was released by the Brewers on April 29 after going 0-5. ... Eldred is making $5.4 million this season. Navarro is making $5 million. ... The White Sox have won seven straight games at SkyDome. ... Attendance was 18,264.
