Jul. 23, 2002 Rivas was scratched from the Twins' lineup on Monday because of flu-like symptoms. He was replaced by Denny Hocking and is day-to-day.
Jun. 5, 2002 Rivas was activated from the disabled list by the Minnesota Twins in time for Tuesday's game against the Indians. The second baseman was 4-for-6 with a double and five RBI in his return from a broken bone in his wrist.
May. 29, 2002 Rivas has been cleared to begin a rehab assignment. The Twins' second baseman, sidelined since early April with a broken bone in his left wrist, has been rehabbing at extended spring training for the last couple weeks.
May. 13, 2002 Rivas has departed for Florida to rehab the broken bone in his left arm at extended spring training. The Twins' second baseman is expected to go on a minor league rehab assignment once he has a clean bill of health.
Apr. 23, 2002 Rivas continues to recover from a broken bone in his left forearm. The Twins' second baseman is expected to require at least another two weeks before he can return to the lineup.
