Rivas was scratched from the Twins' lineup on Monday because of flu-like symptoms. He was replaced by Denny Hocking and is day-to-day.

Rivas was activated from the disabled list by the Minnesota Twins in time for Tuesday's game against the Indians. The second baseman was 4-for-6 with a double and five RBI in his return from a broken bone in his wrist.

Rivas has been cleared to begin a rehab assignment. The Twins' second baseman, sidelined since early April with a broken bone in his left wrist, has been rehabbing at extended spring training for the last couple weeks.

Rivas has departed for Florida to rehab the broken bone in his left arm at extended spring training. The Twins' second baseman is expected to go on a minor league rehab assignment once he has a clean bill of health.
