Westbrook has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Cleveland Indians because of inflammation in his right elbow. The move is retroactive to August 26. He will be replaced by Roy Smith.

Jul. 12, 2002 Westbrook has been activated from the disabled list by the Cleveland Indians. The righthander has been sidelined since undergoing elbow surgery in February. He takes the roster spot of Jolbert Cabrera.
Aug. 24, 2001 Westbrook has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo by the Indians to replace the injured Charles Nagy, who is expected to miss the rest of the season. Westbrook has pitched in 16 games for Cleveland this season, going 3-3.
Aug. 1, 2001 The Indians have optioned Westbrook to Triple-A Buffalo. He posted a 3-3 record and 5.40 ERA in 16 games, six of which were starts.
