Sep. 19, 2001 Barnes has been claimed off waivers by the Colorado Rockies after being released by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. The outfielder was 1-for-21 in nine games with the Twins this season.
Aug. 30, 2001 The Minnesota Twins have optioned Barnes to Triple-A Edmonton. The outfielder was 1-for-21 in nine games with Minnesota. He will be replaced on the roster by Dustan Mohr.
Aug. 16, 2001 Barnes has been recalled from Triple-A Edmonton by the Minnesota Twins. He will replace Chad Allen, who has been lost for the season. Barnes made his first major league appearance this season on Wednesday.
May. 19, 2001 Barnes will begin a 20-day injury rehab assignment at Triple-A Edmonton on Monday.
