Jul. 18, 2002 Inge missed the Tigers' game on Thursday because of a sore back. The team has listed the catcher as day-to-day.
May. 27, 2002 Inge has been activated from the disabled list by the Detroit Tigers. The catcher, who will split time with Matt Walbeck, had been sidelined by a shoulder injury. He replaces Mike Rivera on the Tigers' roster.
May. 12, 2002 Inge has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Detroit Tigers with a separated left shoulder. He suffered the injury sliding into second base in Saturday's game. He will be replaced by Matt Walbeck.
Apr. 22, 2002 Inge has been recalled from Triple-A Toledo by the Detroit Tigers. The catcher will serve as a backup to Mike Rivera, replacing the injured Mitch Meluskey. Inge was batting .231 in 13 minor league games this season.
