Aug. 26, 2002 The Houston Astros have recalled Lane from Triple-A New Orleans to replace the injured Richard Hidalgo. Lane is 5-for-18 with an RBI in 16 games with the Astros this season.
Aug. 21, 2002 Lane has been optioned to Triple-A New Orleans by the Houston Astros. In 14 games with Houston, the outfielder was 5-for-17 with one RBI. He will be replaced on the roster by Brian Hunter.
Aug. 7, 2002 One of Houston's top prospects, Lane was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday. He'll be worked into the outfield mix, mostly against southpaw pitchers. He was batting .274 with 14 homers and 82 RBI at New Orleans.
May. 16, 2002 Lane has been optioned to Triple-A New Orleans by the Houston Astros. The outfielder was hitless in five at-bats in his short stint with the Astros. He will be replaced on the roster by pitcher Pedro Borbon.
May. 10, 2002 The Houston Astros have recalled Lane from Triple-A New Orleans. He was batting .303 with three homers and 21 RBI with the minor league club. Lane will serve as a backup outfielder with the Astros.
