Dec. 11, 2002 Myers has agreed to a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. The catcher batted .222 with six homers and 21 RBI in 65 games with the Oakland A's last season.
Oct. 31, 2002 The Oakland A's have declined the $1.1 million option on Myers' contract for next season, making the catcher a free agent. He will get a $100,000 buyout from the team.
Aug. 28, 2002 Myers exited Tuesday's game against the Royals in the ninth inning because of tightness in his left hamstring. He was replaced behind the plate by Ramon Hernandez; the A's are listing Myers as day-to-day.
Mar. 27, 2002 Myers played just three innings on Tuesday, leaving with a bruised left wrist. The injury has the A's reserve catcher listed as day-to-day.
