Mar. 25, 2002 Bichette has decided to retire from the major leagues. The outfielder, who was trying to earn a spot with the Los Angeles Dodgers, was batting just .190 in 16 games this spring.
Sep. 21, 2001 Bichette continues to struggle with some tendinitis in his elbow and is day-to-day for the Boston Red Sox. He missed Thursday's game with the injury and has been out of the lineup for six of the last seven games.
