Atlanta (23-14) at San Diego (22-16), 10:05 pm EDT

SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- The San Diego Padres look to continue their winning ways at home when they welcome the first-place Atlanta Braves on Monday in the opener of a three-game series.

The Padres completed a three-game sweep of the Florida Marlins on Sunday with a 12-4 rout. San Diego scored a season-high 10 runs in the seventh inning, which was capped by a three-run homer by Dave Roberts . Khalil Green added three hits for the Padres, who have won four consecutive games overall and six straight at home, where they are 13-4 this season.

Rookie Tim Stauffer (1-0, 3.00 ERA) will make his second major league start for San Diego. He won his first start, yielding two runs and four hits in six innings last Wednesday at Cincinnati.

Veteran righthander John Thomson (3-2, 3.55) starts for Atlanta. Thomson lasted just 4 2/3 innings and surrendered a season-high five runs and eight hits last Tuesday at Colorado.

The Braves dropped Friday's series opener against Los Angeles, but rebounded to take the next two games. In Sunday's rubber game, Tim Hudson allowed one earned run in six innings and Chipper Jones hit a two-run homer in a 5-2 win.

Andruw Jones also homered for Atlanta and is batting .446 (25-for-56) in his last 14 contests.

San Diego's Brian Giles is batting .515 (17-for-33) since May 5.
