DUNEDIN, Florida (Ticker) -- Frank Catalanotto hit a grand slam and Jason Werth doubled and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch as the Toronto Blue Jays posted a 10-9 victory over the Cleveland Indians in a Grapefruit League game.

Catalanotto's home run helped the Blue Jays build an 8-0 lead after three innings. However, the Indians tied the game with two runs in the fourth inning and six in the sixth. Lou Merloni hit a two-run homer in the fourth and Jody Gerut highlighted the sixth with a two-run triple.

Werth doubled, moved to third on a grounder and scored on a wild pitch by Jose Vargas in the eighth to snap the 6-6 tie. Josh Phelps , who had three hits, doubled home Vernon Wells with an insurance run.

It became necessary when the Indians scored a run in the ninth off Aquilino Lopez .

Indians starter Jason Bere lasted just two innings and surrendered six runs.
