Phils take advantage of miscues in 10th to beat Braves
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- After failing to deliver a key hit in nine innings, the
bunted their way to victory in the 10th.

After Atlanta broke a scoreless tie by piecing together a run in the top of the 10th inning against

"I didn't set my feet. I didn't let (third baseman
) get set and I just threw the ball," Kolb said. "It's just one dumb thing after another with me lately and it's starting to get irritating."

"Things started going our way there at the end, especially when Lofton got the bunt down," Manuel said. "Polly (Polanco) came up with the big hit that ended up winning the game."
"You can't walk two guys at the bottom (of their lineup) leading by one run. Something is going to happen," added Cox.
Kolb's performance spoiled a stellar effort by Atlanta starter
, who allowed three hits and two walks in eight innings.
Hampton, who was 3-0 against Philadelphia last season, has allowed two runs in 22 innings this season. In his last five outings against the Phillies, Hampton is 3-0 with a 0.96 ERA.
"I didn't feel the best I had all season, but I was able to keep the ball down, work in the zone," Hampton said. "I made some big pitches when I had to. Things worked out for me and I gave my team a chance to win."
nearly matched Hampton, surrendering four hits in eight innings. Myers did not walk a batter and struck out five.
In his last three starts against Atlanta, Myers is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA and the Phillies are 5-1 in the righthander's six career starts against the Braves.
"I just tried to pound the strike zone tonight, just throw as many strikes as possible and let the defense, who played great tonight, play behind me," said Myers, who lowered his ERA to 0.44 and extended his scoreless innings streak to 17 1/3.
After scoring 11 runs in winning the series opener, Atlanta managed just two over the final two games.
"Beating the Braves two out of three is key," Polanco said. "They win the division every year. You know they are good and they are going to be there at the end so beating them two out of three is very important."
