Ted Williams, 1941

Williams brought uncommon intensity to the park every day. In his book, The Science of Hitting, Williams described making contact with a baseball as "the single most difficult thing to do in sport." It was his steely resolve and incredible hand-eye coordination that made him one of the alltime greats.
