NEW YORK (AP) -- How Mike Hampton's eight-year, $121 million contract is affected by Monday's trades, as obtained by The Associated Press from player and management sources.

Colorado declined Hampton's 2009 option and traded Hampton, outfielder Juan Pierre and $6.5 million ($2 million in 2003, $2 million in 2004 and $2.5 million) to the Florida Marlins for catcher Charles Johnson, outfielder Preston Wilson, left-hander Vic Darensbourg and second baseman Pablo Ozuna. Florida traded Hampton and $30 million ($9 million in 2003, $10 million in 2004 and $11 million in 2005) to Atlanta for right-hander Tim Spooneybarger and right-hander Ryan Baker.

Following is what Hampton winds up netting from each team (figures in millions). Of the signing bonus, $19 million is deferred without interest until the end of the contract, then deferred with 3 percent compounded interest. The payment to the Hampton Foundation must be made in full by 2005.
