PHOENIX (AP) -- Barry Bonds hit a 448-foot shot off Curt Schilling on Saturday to tie a major league record with 12 consecutive 30-homer seasons.

Bonds' major league-leading 30th home run came on the first pitch from Schilling with one out in the fourth inning. The drive soared over the swimming pool in right-center at Bank One Ballpark.

The San Francisco slugger tied the record set by Jimmie Foxx from 1929-40.

Bonds has homered in five consecutive games, including a 432-foot shot off Arizona's Miguel Batista in Friday night's 10-7 victory. Bonds has 643 home runs, fourth on the career list and 17 shy of Willie Mays.
