BIOGRAPHY: It seems very possible Mbah a Moute will head back to UCLA for his senior season, considering he is far from being one of the higher-rated power forwards in this draft. Known more for his defensive prowess than offensive ability. Has failed to average in double figures in scoring in any of his three seasons with the Bruins, though he was a key part of their three straight trips to the Final Four. The Cameroon native has very limited range and must develop more offensively to be a contributor in the NBA. A sprained ankle limited his effectiveness late in the regular season and early in this year's NCAA tournament, but he posted double-doubles in his final two games. Was Pac-10 freshman of the year in 2005-06, but has failed to build much on that season. A big wingspan benefits him at the defensive end and on the glass, having averaged 7.2 rebounds in his college career. Displays a good attitude on the court and solid fundamentals, though he has a lot of room for improvement. Has very limited range and questionable ball-handling skills for a small forward. Appears to be a mid-to-late second-round pick at best.
