BIOGRAPHY: Lopez showed offensive improvement in his second season at Stanford in 2007-08, averaging 10.2 points on 53.4 percent shooting to go with 5.7 rebounds and a team-leading 2.3 blocks. He shot 48.0 percent and averaged 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks as a freshman. Lopez helped the Cardinal to a 28-8 record and a trip to the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament this season, partnering with his brother Brook in the frontcourt. The Lopez's entered the NBA draft together, but Robin could be seen as a project for some teams. He's strong defensively, with a large frame capable of blocking shots and grabbing rebounds, but could struggle offensively at the next level. Lopez might be able to overcome those limitations with his impressive athleticism. He can get down the court quickly, and is a strong passer and an excellent leaper. Lopez has also displayed a high level of energy during games, which could make him a strong player off the bench. Had a season high-tying five blocks while shooting 7-for-9 from the field to help Stanford to a first-round win over Cornell in this year's NCAAs. He followed that up with an outstanding performance against No. 25 Marquette, going 7-for-10 and scoring 18 points while pulling down nine rebounds and blocking three shots. However, he struggled with six points, five rebounds and no blocks as the Cardinal lost to seventh-ranked Texas, ending their season. He's projected to be a mid-to-late first-round selection.
