Biography: Pittman arrived at Texas weighing over 360 pounds, but the center played around 290 in his senior season - which just so happened to be his most productive. Pittman averaged career highs of 10.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots while shooting a career-best 65.4 percent from the field. His agility improved each season as he lost more weight, enabling him to get more offensive rebounds and baskets closer to the hoop. Pittman, though, still has a large frame and can bully smaller opponents inside. He doesn't possess much of a jumper and has trouble facing up to opponents on the offensive end, but he has developed a consistent hook shot. Defensively, Pittman often gets into foul trouble. He averaged a foul every 7.2 minutes as a senior, causing him to play just 19.1 minutes per game. Despite all the weight loss, stamina is still an issue, and he often lumbers up and down the court. Teams needing to add some size to their rosters will likely take a long look at Pittman, but he isn't expected to be selected until late in the second round.
