Biography: It appears Landesberg had made up his mind before his 2009-10 sophomore season ended that he planned to test the NBA waters before his college eligibility was up. Virginia's leading scorer each of his two seasons at the school, Landesberg was suspended before the 2010 ACC tournament for academic reasons stemming from his reported failure to attend an art class in which he was enrolled during the semester. The Flushing, N.Y., native was the ACC rookie of year after averaging 16.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 2008-09. As a sophomore, Landesberg averaged 17.3 points and 4.9 boards to earn second-team All-ACC honors. He's a very good athlete who thrives on getting to the basket and finishing. A solid free-throw shooter, his perimeter shooting can be hit-or-miss but his percentages did go up his sophomore season to 44.3 from the field and 38.3 from 3-point range. Though he needs to keep working on his outside shooting, Landesberg has an outside chance to get picked very late in the first round. However, it's also possible he won't near his name called until deep into the second round because he's still a little raw and is far from a complete player. Still needing to develop his game, Landesberg might be no more than a role player who must earn his minutes.
