Biography: Though he's in need of more experience, Gallon is entering the NBA draft after one season at Oklahoma, leaving the school
amid controversy. The Sooners have opened an internal investigation Gallon reportedly received a $3,000 wire transfer from
a Florida financial adviser. On the court, though, he mostly lived up to his McDonald's All-American billing. He averaged
10.3 points and 7.9 boards, the fourth-highest rebounding average for a Sooner freshman. Gallon also led the team with 23
blocked shots. For a big man, Gallon has a soft touch from the outside. A shooting guard in a power forward's body, Gallon
sometimes drifts to the perimeter offensively instead of taking advantage of his size. Gallon also reportedly went to Oklahoma
70 pounds lighter than he was at the start of his senior year at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. He weighed 359 pounds before
his senior year, and was advised to lose weight or risk missing his chance to play at the Division I level. Gallon averaged
16.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in his last year at Oak Hill, then led all scorers with 20 points in the McDonald's
All-American Game. If he can trim down even more, Gallon will have the body to match his preferred style of play. Otherwise,
he will need to learn to become more physical. Gallon will likely be a second-round pick, if he's drafted at all.
