TEAM REPORT

Coach: Brian Agler (67-17, 3rd year)
1998 Record: 36-8 (first in Eastern Conference, defeated Long Beach in ABL finals)
Probable Starters:
F -- Katie Smith (5-11, 17.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg)
C -- Angie Potthoff (6-1, 5.7 ppg, 2.7 rpg)
G -- Tonya Edwards (5-10, 14.2 ppg, 3.4 rpg)
G -- Shannon Johnson, (5-8, 11.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg)
G -- Sonja Tate (5-8, 5.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg)
Strengths: The two-time defending champions won all four of
their exhibition games. The quickness of Edwards or Tate will
force matchup problems at the small forward spot. Agler can
concentrate on only coaching with the hiring of a new general
manager. They have the second best offense and the best defense.
Weaknesses: The losses of Valerie Still and Andrea Lloyd forces
them to go to a three-guard offense. Cannot afford any more injuries
to their frontcourt. Still was the emotional leader, but they are
a veteran team. They are the only club without a rookie.
Key Losses: C Still, F Andrea Lloyd.
New Additions: G Lisa Harrison.
