The Final Four
Result Game ball to The story Up next
(South) UConn 64 ,
(West) Ohio State 58

  • Recap
  • Box Score
  • UConn PG Khalid El-Amin: 18 pts, 6 asts., 3 steals

El-Amin rebounded from a horrendous shooting performance with a great game.

UConn put the defensive clamps on Ohio State's vaunted backcourt, limiting Michael Redd and Scoonie Penn to 10-of-31 FG shooting. On the other end, El-Amin and Richard Hamilton scored 42 of the Huskies' 64 points. UConn: Final vs. Duke

    Ohio State: Season over

    (East) Duke 68 ,
    (Midwest) Michigan State 62

  • Recap
  • Box Score
  • Duke C Elton Brand: 18 pts, 7-10 FG, 15 reb.

The sophomore was dominant, but Duke held on late when he had to sit with four fouls.

Michigan State did what it always does -- make the game sloppy, play physical with its opponent and keep things fairly close. But none of those were enough to derail Duke's title hopes. The Blue Devils looked beatable for the first time in the tournament, but they held on down the stretch never letting the Spartans within fewer than three points. Duke: Final vs. UConn

    Michigan State: Season over
