3-Pointers
by Sports Illustrated's Alexander Wolff
The greatest games in tournament history:
1. 1992 East Regional final.
Duke 104, Kentucky 103 (OT). Together the two teams score on the last five possessions, swapping the lead five times. Christian Laettner's buzzer-beater wins it.
2. 1985 title game.
Villanova 66, Georgetown 64. The Wildcats shoot 78.6%, including 9-for-10 in the second half. If the Wildcats shoot only 75%, they lose.
3. 1974 national semifinal.
N.C. State 80, UCLA 77 (2 OT). After surrendering the first seven points of the second OT, the Wolfpack comes back to end UCLA's string of seven championships.
