FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -- Carly Deer hit a driving layup with 10 seconds left, helping Southwest Missouri State down UC-Santa Barbara 72-70 Friday night in the Women's NCAA West Regional. Southwest Missouri (25-6), the seventh seed, got 18 points from Jackie Stiles and 14 from Roshonda Reed. Deer's clutch basket gave the Lady Bears a 71-70 lead, and Tara Mitchem added a free throws with 2.4 seconds left to account for the final margin. The 10th-seeded Gauchos (26-4), who had their 21-game winning streak snapped, were led by Erin Buescher with 27 points. Buescher's layup put her team ahead 70-69 with 19 seconds remaining. Neither team led by more than three points in the final 12 minutes.
