South Florida
1998-99 record
14-14 overall, 6-10 in C-USA
Coach
Seth Greenberg, 39-46 (three seasons at South Florida); 144-116 overall
Projected starting lineup
G Marlon Dawson, 6-1, Jr.
Transfer from Okaloosa-Walton (Fla.) Community College who should replace Shaddrick Jenkins at point guard.

G Haven Jackson, 6-2, So.
Missed last season with a broken foot but was the Bulls' top point guard off the bench in 1997-98.

C Scott Johnson, 6-10, Sr.
Multi-dimensional post player who missed last season after tearing ligaments in his knee in Game Two.

B.B. Waldon, 6-8, So.
One of the most productive freshmen in school history, Waldon had six double-doubles, including 25 points and 12 rebounds against Louisville.

F Chosney Asbury, 6-6, Jr.
Not the first option for the Bulls, yet Asbury was effective last season, averaging 11.5 points and shooting 45.7 percent from the field.

Top guy off the bench
F Altron Jackson, 6-6 So.
Averaged 8.9 points and 2.8 rebounds last season as a freshman.
Key Newcomer
G Reggie Kohn, 6-1, Lake Howell, Fla.
With JUCO transfer Dawson possessing experience, Kohn will be brought along slowly. He is the future.
Key Games
at Tennessee (Nov. 29). An early-season test against a projected Top 25 opponent.
at Cincinnati (Jan. 29). The Bulls haven't beaten Cincinnati since the 1988-89 season, a string of eight games..
Outlook
It's been three seasons of Seth Greenberg basketball, yet no postseason bid. This should be the year. The Bulls have a 10-deep lineup of versatile players, led by the flashy Waldon and the return of Johnson. When Johnson went down with a knee injury last season, South Florida was left dumbfounded. Having him back should have the opposite -- and positive -- effect
Bulls' 1999-00 schedule
