Scouting report

By now, it's no secret that defense has been the key to Wisconsin's improbable run to the Final Four. But do you want to know the secret behind the Badgers' badgering D?

Guard Mike Kelley should be able to explain. He is not only the Badgers' career steals leader but also ranks among the all-time leaders in the Big Ten. In Wisconsin's run to the Final Four, he is averaged 4.3 steals per game and had five or more picks in three of the Badgers' four tourney games.

Kelley plays with determination and desire, but the 1999 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year also knows how to put himself in the right position for a pick.

"If you're in the right spot, and you have the anticipation, you're going to be able to get into the passing lanes and pick one off," Kelley says.
