INDIANAPOLIS (CNNSI.com) -- Florida sophomore Mike Miller is strongly considering entering this year's NBA Draft in the wake of reports of extensive phone contacts between the player and a professional agent, Sports Illustrated's Seth Davis reported Friday.

A source close to the program told Davis that Miller is distraught that the agent, Andy Miller, faces possible felony charges for violating Florida state law prohibiting contact between college athletes and agents who are not registered in that state.

The New York Times reported Thursday that phone records indicate Andy Miller called Mike Miller over 40 times during the last several months.

Andy Miller also generated headlines last week when he accompanied St. John's point guard Erick Barkley to a meeting with Red Storm coach Mike Jarvis. Barkley, a sophomore, later announced that he has decided to turn professional.
