Pacific has nine seniors and is two deep at every position. The Tigers are especially strong in the frontcourt, where four players return to form a bruising front line. The most polished of the bunch is 6-7 senior Mike Hahn (10.2 ppg, 4.9 rpg), an all-conference honorable mention pick last season. He was second on the team in scoring, led the team in rebounding and minutes played and shot 59.6 percent from the field. He brings a streak of 59 consecutive starts into the 2001-02 season. UC Santa Barbara returns five starters from a team that fashioned a winning league record a year ago. The Gauchos have two second-team All-Big West selections in their lineup, 6-7 junior Mark Hull and 6-9 senior Mike Vukovich. The front line will also be bolstered by the return of 6-9 Adama Ndiaye, who redshirted last season after suffering a broken finger. UC Irvine got a big lift when guard Jerry Green, last season's Big West Player of the Year, decided not to turn pro and returned for his senior year. The Anteaters will have a solid inside-outside tandem; Adam Parada, a 7-0 senior, is also back. He led his team in rebounding and blocked shots a year ago. UC Irvine brings in a solid newcomer in 6-5 junior forward Jordan Harris, a former All-Patriot League second-team pick at Colgate.
