You know why these picks will never come true? There aren't enough upsets -- even with Central Connecticut State, Penn, Hawaii, S Illinois and Pepperdine winning!
The fact of the matter is, never in a million years will the Final Four be three No. 1 seeds and a 3. But it's impossible to imagine anyone touching Maryland, Kansas and Duke in their regions. Cincinnati gets to the Elite Eight, but the Bearcats' lack of star power after Steve Logan has to catch up to them eventually.
As for what happens from there ... Duke-Maryland for a third time in the championship would be epic. But while last year all the cards were in Duke's favor, this is the year of the Terrapins. They are as talented as anyone. They took care of business all year. They clobbered Duke during the regular season, there's absolutely no reason for them not to feel confident. More confident, in fact, than I am with these picks.
