NEW YORK (AP) -- Final Four victories by Indiana and Maryland drew an overnight rating that was 6 percent higher than last year's broadcast.

The two semifinals Saturday on CBS received a 10.7 overnight rating and 20 percent share, an increase from 10.1/20 last year, the network said Sunday.

Indiana's 73-64 win over Oklahoma received a 9.7/19, up 9 percent from the 8.9/19 for last year's opener in which Arizona defeated Michigan State.

Maryland's 97-88 victory over Kansas drew an 11.5/20. That was an increase of 2 percent from an 11.3/20 for Duke's win over the Terrapins last year. It is the highest rating for the second game since 1998, when Utah's victory over North Carolina produced an 11.9/21.

National ratings will be available later this week.

Each national rating point represents nearly 1.06 million TV homes. Overnight ratings measure the 53 largest TV markets in the United States, covering about 65 percent of the country.
